Ah, to be a happy and loved cat in Provence!
You mention playing Beethoven in the Cotswolds. From a note included in one of Julian's painting e-mails, I assume "Fidelio"? I have only played the overtures, but would someday like to play the entire opera. (I play viola.)
Enjoy the Cheddar, Stilton, Huntsman, and all the other good cheeses available there! I'll raise a cider to you in absentia!
